Union Museum
Union Museum
Set up at Alba Iulia in 1887, it has four history departments; it gathers together 130,000 exhibits displayed in the Babylon building (1851-1853) and in the Union Hall (1906).
On December the 1st, 1918, the Great Assembly at Alba Iulia joined together some 100,000 people from all over Transylvania and actually marked the Union of Transylvania with Great Romania. After 1989, December the 1st became Romania's National Holiday.
